Shieikan Dojo: Located in Edo. Was the training hall where the original members of the Shinsengumi trained under Isami Kondou and learned Tennenrishin-ryu (a specific swordfighting style).
Yagitei: The Original Headquarters of the Roshigumi/Shinsengumi in Kyoto.
Ikedaya: A famous inn where the “Ikedaya Incident” took place, a battle that thrust the Shinsengumi’s name into the history books.
Positions and Fighting Styles:
Isami Kondo (近藤勇): the head of the Shieikan dojo and the commander of Shinsengumi. Sword style is Tennenrishinryu (天然理心流)
Toshizo Hijikata (土方歳三): Mokuroku (目録, higher rank) of the Shieikan dojo and the vice commander of Shinsengumi. Sword style is “Tennenrishinryu (天然理心流)”
Soji Okita (沖田総司): Menkyo Kaiden (免許皆伝, the master) and chief instructor of the Dojo. The captain of 1st unit of Shinsengumi. Sword style is Tennenrishinryu (天然理心流)
Shinpachi Nagakura (永倉新八): The guest sword master of the Shieikan dojo. The captain of 2nd unit of Shinsengumi. Sword style is ShintoMunenryu (神道無念流)
Hajime Saitou (斉藤一): The guest sword master of the Shieikan dojo. The captain of 3rd unit Shinsengumi. Sword style is Mugairyu (無外流)
Genzaburo Inoue (井上源三郎): Menkyo Kaiden (免許皆伝, the master) of the Shieikan dojo. The captain of 6th unit of Shinsengumi. Sword style is Tennenrishinryu (天然理心流)
Sanosuke Harada (原田左之助): The guest spear master of the Shieikan dojo. The captain of 10th unit of Shinsengumi. Spear style is Shudenryu sojutsu (種田流槍術)
